This site lists casinos that sit outside GamStop. That is the whole point of it, and it is also the reason this page exists and is not boilerplate: if you registered with GamStop because gambling was harming you, the sites we list are the ones you asked to be kept away from.
If you need to talk to someone now. The National Gambling Helpline is free, confidential and open 24 hours a day on 0808 8020 133. It is run by GamCare, and it is not connected to any operator or to this site.
Why looking beyond GamStop puts your self-exclusion at risk
GamStop provides self-exclusion across participating online gambling services licensed in Great Britain, for the period you chose; it does not cover gambling premises or every kind of licence. The operators listed on this site do not take part in it, so it does not reach them.
What it means in practice is that a self-exclusion you set up to protect yourself can be walked around in about four minutes, and nothing on the operator’s side will stop you. No verification check will catch it. No cooling-off period will apply. The decision you made when you were thinking clearly has no enforcement behind it here.
If you self-excluded, searching for sites outside GamStop is the specific behaviour the scheme was designed to interrupt. Reading this page does not mean you have a problem — but if you are here because you are looking for a way round your own exclusion, that is worth taking seriously.
How can I block gambling sites outside GamStop?
GamStop works at the operator end. Blocking software works at your end, which is why it covers sites no UK scheme can touch.
| Tool | What it covers | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| BetBlocker | Can block gambling sites on the devices you install it on, including many outside GamStop; coverage is not guaranteed | Free |
| GAMBAN | Can block gambling sites and apps across your devices, including many outside GamStop; coverage is not guaranteed | Paid; see its own pricing page |
| GamStop | Participating online operators licensed in Great Britain | Free |
| Bank gambling block | Declines card payments coded as gambling. HSBC, NatWest, Lloyds, Santander, Monzo, Starling, TSB, Nationwide, Bank of Scotland and first direct describe one on their own sites; some add a waiting period before it can be switched off | Free |
Used together these cover more routes than any one alone: GamStop for participating operators licensed in Great Britain, blocking software for many sites outside it — though no blocker is guaranteed to catch every site — and the bank block for card payments coded as gambling. The bank block is the one people underestimate — where your bank adds a waiting period before it can be switched off, that delay is doing the real work.

How long does GamStop self-exclusion last?
GamStop is free. You choose a minimum period of six months, one year or five years — or a five-year period that renews itself — and participating online operators licensed in Great Britain must refuse you for that time. It cannot be switched off early. Without automatic renewal, when the period ends it does not lapse by itself: removing it takes GamStop’s own process and at least 24 hours’ cooling-off, and if you do nothing it stays in place for up to seven more years. With automatic renewal, a further five-year period begins instead.
What it does not do is reach operators outside Great Britain’s licensing system, which is why the blocking tools above matter alongside it.
What are the warning signs of gambling harm?
Not a diagnosis, and not a quiz. These are the patterns support services hear most often, and any one of them is worth a conversation:
- Gambling with money set aside for something else, then rearranging the something else.
- Chasing losses — playing on specifically to recover what has gone, rather than because you wanted to play.
- Hiding how much or how often, including from people who would not judge you.
- Borrowing to gamble, or selling things to fund it.
- Needing larger stakes to feel the same thing.
- Trying to stop, and finding you cannot.
- Looking for ways around a block you set up yourself.
That last one is the reason this page sits where it does.
How this site handles gambling risks and affiliate links
We have a commercial interest in people clicking through to operators, so a responsible gambling page from us is worth reading sceptically. Here is what we actually do rather than what we say:
- The guides carry no affiliate links at all. If you arrive because a withdrawal has stalled or an account has been closed, nothing on that page is trying to sell you anything.
- Every commercial page states the commission arrangement above the content, not in a footer.
- We link to blocking software that covers the operators we list from the footer of every page, including the commercial one.
- We do not run pop-ups, countdown timers, fake urgency or “X people are viewing this” counters. They exist to shorten the gap between reading and depositing, which is the opposite of what this page is for.
- We do not rate these operators or present them as safer, better regulated or a solution to anything. Where we found no licence, the comparison says so.
Age limits and UK protections outside GamStop
Gambling is for adults aged 18 or over. Beyond that, the practical difference with the operators listed on this site is what the British rules would have required of them and do not: age verification before you deposit or gamble, identity verification before you gamble, no credit cards, £5 and £2 limits on online slot stakes, a cap of ten times the bonus on wagering, a financial vulnerability check once deposits minus withdrawals pass £150 in a rolling 30 days, free independent dispute resolution for qualifying disputes, and GamStop. Whatever protection exists comes from the operator’s own licence and terms instead.
That is worth knowing whether or not you are self-excluded, and it is the reason the guides on this site spend more time on withdrawals and disputes than on bonuses.
